titleOfInvention | Novel process for the preparation of N6-alkyl-arprinocid |
abstract | This invention is concerned with a novel process for the preparation of N 6 -alkyl-arprinocid (6-alkyl-amino-9- substituted benzyl purines). Such compounds are active anticoccidial agents. The process involves the preparation of a Schiff base from an acetal of dialkylformamide of formula:n by reaction with a compound of formula:n in which each of R 1 and R 2 is a halogen atom, R 3 is a hydrogen atom or a C 1-5 alkyl radical and each of R', R 4 and R s is a C 1-5 alkyl radical, and reduction of the Schiff base with a metal hydride. |
