abstract A sprayable preparation for accelerated hemostasis and optimized biochemical control of wound closure contains a powder mixture of 15 to 60% by weight thrombin, 5 to 80% by weight drying and stabilizing agents, namely albumin, globulin and / or fibrrinogen, and 1 to 10 % By weight fibrinolysis inhibitor. The powder mixture is suspended in a low-boiling, anhydrous solvent which serves as a blowing agent. To close or cover the wound, a spray jet of this suspension is directed onto the wound with evaporation of the solvent, so that essentially only the dry, solid powder mixture reaches the wound.
