2-Azidomethyl-1H-2,3-dihydro-1,4-benzodiazepines of the general formula 1 are described in which R 1 is a hydrogen atom or a low molecular weight alkyl group, A and B are independently unsubstituted or substituted with 1 to 3 substituents selected from the group consisting of halogen, low molecular weight alkylthio, low molecular weight alkoxy, low molecular weight alkyl, hydroxy, nitro and Trifluoromethyl, or A and B are phenyl radicals in which two adjacent C atoms are connected by a methylenedioxy or ethylenedioxy group, and their acid addition salts. The compounds are valuable intermediates for the preparation of corresponding 2-acylaminomethyl-1H-2,3-dihydrobenzodiazepines and also have valuable pharmacological effects themselves. |
