A stretch wrap film having a transverse direction Elmendorf tear resistance > about 7.9 kg/mm, a machine direction Elmendorf tear resistance > about 3.5 kg/mm, and an Instron puncture resistance > 59 J/mm, said film capable of self-sealing at temperatures between -15°C and 60°C, and capable of maintaining the integrity of a seal at temperatures below -15°C, the film having the property of being essentially pinhole free at a thickness between 12.7 µm and 25.4 µm. The stretch wrap film is formed from a composition comprised of: (1) more than 60% and less than 80% by weight of a high pressure, low density ethylene polymer; (2) more than 20% and less than 40% by weight of a low pressure, low density hydrocarbon interpolymer; and (3) more than 0.8% and less than 5% by weight of a liquid polybutene having a number average molecular weight < about 3500 Daltons. |
