titleOfInvention Improvements in or relating to conveyor belts
abstract A conveyor belt is constructed by forming at least one elongated mat in which a plurality of reinforcing elements are held fixed side by side but spaced by an elastomeric material. The reinforcing elements extend transversely to the width of the mat. The or each mat is then bonded to one or more layers of material to form the conveyor belt, the mat extending longitudinally with respect to the conveyor belt. The elongated mat can be formed by an extrusion process.
