| abstract | Remote control entertainment system in which a central control (14) and a plurality of related circuits (22, 30, 33, 34) are combined with conventional home entertainment components in response to signals transmitted over a common bus (12) by a remote control (10). The central control (14) and several related circuits (22, 30, 33, 34) not only apply control signals to components of a conventional home entertainment system and control the outputs of this system in a plurality of places, but also produce a check command signal which is transmitted by the command bus (12) to the remote control (10) to verify to the remote control that the command transmitted to the central control has been executed. |
