titleOfInvention Method for manufacturing electrodes for electrochemical apparatus using an aqueous solution or the like
abstract A paste obtained by mixing a metal powder with a provisional binder such as a cellulose acetate solution is deposited on both sides of a metal support formed by a plate or a grid. The binder is pressed, hardened, and the mixture is heated in a furnace at the sintering temperature of the metal powder. If required, the inner surface of the porosity of the sintered metal is covered with an oxide coating obtained, for example, by chemical transformation of a salt deposited by impregnating the sintered metal with a dissolved salt, and thereafter by evaporating the solvent. Application to accumulators.
