titleOfInvention | Water-soluble azo compounds, methods for their preparation and their use as dyestuffs |
abstract | Water-soluble mono- or polyazo compounds, which are built up using coupling components based on resorcinol resin, have practically equally good absorbency on all types of leather as well as beautiful covering properties; Therefore, they are suitable as dyes of primarily anionic nature and because of the valuable brown tones that can be achieved with them, for dyeing in particular cationically or anionically tanned or retanned leather articles, but also of fur skins, in accordance with the customary methods. It can also be used to dye or print textile materials made from cellulose, silk, wool or synthetic polyamide fibers.n n n These new products are synthesized in a conventional manner by diazotization and coupling.n n n The use of resorcinol resin in the dyes according to the invention provides inexpensive starting materials and makes a contribution to environmental protection. |
