abstract R 1 für Wasserstoff, Chlor oder Brom, R 2 für Wasserstoff, Methyl oder Phenyl, R 3 für Wasserstoff, Alkyl, Aralkyl, Aryl, Halomethyl, Acyloxymethyl oder den Rest P(O) (0 Alkyl) 2 steht und R 4 für Chlor, Brom, Cyan, Alkoxy, Aryloxy, Acyloxy, Acylmercapto, Arylsulfonyl, Alkylsulfonyl, Acylamino oder P(O) (0 Alkyl), steht, sind Zwischenprodukte für Dimethylcyclopropancarbonsäure-Derivate. Man erhält sie, wenn man terminale Olefine der Formel IIn mit 1-Chlor-1-dimethylamino-2-methyl-propen-1 und einer Lewissäure, vorzugsweise Zinkchlorid, umsetzt und das Reaktionsprodukt anschließend hydrolysiert und gegebenenfalls mit einem Halogenierungsmittel umsetzt. 2,2-Dimethylcyclobutanone of formula I. wherein R 1 represents hydrogen, chlorine or bromine, R 2 represents hydrogen, methyl or phenyl, R 3 represents hydrogen, alkyl, aralkyl, aryl, halomethyl, acyloxymethyl or the radical P (O) (0 alkyl) 2 and R 4 represents chlorine, bromine, cyan, alkoxy, aryloxy, acyloxy, acylmercapto, arylsulfonyl, alkylsulfonyl, acylamino or P (O) (0 alkyl), are intermediates for dimethylcyclopropane carboxylic acid derivatives. They are obtained if terminal olefins of the formula II are used with 1-chloro-1-dimethylamino-2-methyl-propen-1 and a Lewis acid, preferably zinc chloride, and the reaction product is then hydrolyzed and optionally reacted with a halogenating agent.
