titleOfInvention Process for the production of monohydro-perfluoroalkane-sulphonic-acid halogenides and some particular representatives of this family
Monohydroperfluoroalkanesulfonic acid halides of the formula 1 where R f = F or perfluoroalkyl, X = Cl or F and n = 1-7, are produced by reacting monohydroperfluoroalkanesulfonic acids of the formula II wherein R 1 and n have the same meaning as in formula I. with pyrocatechylphosphorus trichloride (→ compounds I with X = CI) and optionally further reaction with alkali fluorides and / or alkali hydrogen fluorides (→ compounds I with X = F). The compounds I are new, with the exception of the compound with R 1 = F, n = 1 and X = Cl (= HCF 2 -CF 2 -SO 2 Cl). n n n The compounds I are mainly intermediates in organic fluorine chemistry, especially for the production of perfluorinated ion exchange resins containing sulfonic acid groups.
