titleOfInvention | PROCESS FOR RECOVERY OF VYNILIC POLYMERS FROM LATEX OF EMULSION POLYMERIZATION. |
abstract | Production of vinyl dispersion or paste resin by means of the emulsion polymerization process and recovery of the resins from the polymer latexes thus produced. In the process, the polymeric latex is first coagulated carefully so as to produce a slurry which can be quickly filtered, the sludge is then passed through a pressure filter so as to separate from the serum a wet loaf of friable polymer with a high content of solid particles, the wet bread is rinsed with suitable agents so as to neutralize it and separate it from the remains not required, a pressure is applied in the filter to the wet bread rinsed so as to increase the content of solid particles of this, the wet bread is then crushed giving rise to particles and friable agglomerates, and these particles and these agglomerates are successively dried and crushed until obtaining a suitable size during a stage in a fluid energy mill . The stages of spray drying and successive grinding are thus eliminated, which makes it possible to obtain a superior product for the plastisols. |
