abstract |
The invention is based on a blood collection system, with which a blood collection tube is inserted into an open-sided cylindrical holder provided on the other side with a double-ended hollow needle, which tube is evacuated and closed with a pierceable membrane, so that when inserted into the interior of the holder protruding end of the double-ended hollow needle pierces the membrane and thus creates a connection between the evacuated interior of the blood sample tube and the outer end of the hollow needle. In order to facilitate the piercing of the inner end of the hollow needle through the membrane when the needle is arranged eccentrically in the holder, the membrane has an annular groove (219) which results in a thin point (519 ') which the needle hits when the blood sample tube is inserted into the holder . The membrane has a further thin point (520 ') which can be pierced with a pipette. |
