abstract The present invention relates to new nasal preparations for the prophylaxis against infections by viruses of the respiratory tract, especially by influenza A viruses. As active ingredients, these preparations contain one or more glucans which at least partially consist of successive (1 → 3) -β-D-glucose units and, if appropriate, are partially built and / or partially etherified by lower alkyl, hydroxy-lower alkyl or carboxy-lower alkyl. The invention also relates to the production and use of these preparations.
