titleOfInvention Process for the production of 2-(2-aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-(syn)-methoxyimino-acetic esters
abstract A process for the preparation of 2- (2-aminothiazol-4-yl) -2- (syn) -methoxyiminoacetic ester, in which 4-chloroacetoacetic ester is oximated in a first stage with sodium nitrite and the intermediate, a chlorohydroxyiminoester without isolating it, directly is reacted with thiourea to give 2- (2-aminothiazol-4-yl) -2- (syn) -hydroxyiminoacetic ester. This is then converted into the desired end product in a second stage using dimethyl sulfate and using phase transfer catalysis.
