abstract A method is described for binding an antigen specifically bound to an antibody in an aqueous solution and for separating this bound antigen to determine the antigen concentration in a body fluid, the antibody with the specifically bound antigen being separated from the free antigen dissolved in the aqueous solution is separated off, a reaction accelerator being added to the aqueous solution. Polyethylene glycol, dextran, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, ammonium sulfate or sodium sulfite serve as reaction accelerators.
