abstract | Transparent copolyamides are described which are obtained by reacting a mixture A) of isophoronediamine and isophthalic acid, terephthalic acid or a mixture of isophthalic acid and terephthalic acid with a mixture B) of a diamine and terephthalic acid or a mixture of terephthalic acid and isophthalic acid or with a mixture C) of a diamine and terephthalic acid or isophthalic acid or mixtures thereof are obtainable, where R ', R "and R 1 to R 6 have the meaning given in the claim.n n n The reaction can optionally be carried out with excess diamine and with the addition of H 3 PO 2 or salts thereof or white P 4 .n n n The new copolyamides are characterized by good thermoplastic processability, low water absorption and good hydrolysis resistance and are suitable for the production of transparent moldings. |
