abstract Electrolyte for electrochemical generator, the negative active material (4) of which consists of lithium, the positive active material of thionyl chloride, comprising at least one solvent and at least one solute, this solvent being thionyl chloride and this solute chosen from the group of lithium tetrachloroaluminate and lithium hexachloroantimonate. According to the invention, said electrolyte further comprises a complex chosen from the group of AlCl3, SO2 and SbCl5, SO2. Generators comprising such an electrolyte have practically zero voltage rise times.
