titleOfInvention | Polyester molding composition, production thereof and molded articles produced therefrom |
abstract | A polyester composition having improved molding properties comprises 100 parts by weight of a polyester comprising mainly polyethylene terphthalate and 0.05 to 10 parts by weight of a specific type of polyamide or polyhydrazide as nucleating agent, which is uniformly dispersed in the polyester in a substantial size of 50 µm or less. The polyester composition is produced by dissolving or suspending the nucleat. ing agent and a dispersing aid in a solvent, co-precipitating the nucleating agent and the dispersing aid, and dispersing the precipite in the polyester. The composition is especially suitable for molding articles in metal molds. |
