titleOfInvention Process for the preparation of dust-free and fluid-like lead-containing compounds
abstract Dust-free and free-flowing lead carrier compounds with a comparatively low content of additives, which are particularly suitable for the glass, ceramics and accumulator industries, are obtained by adding at least one water-soluble organic macromolecular substance with water retention properties in the form of an aqueous solution to the lead carriers, optionally together with a compound acting as a stabilizing agent, mixing in a shear force-producing mixing device and subsequent granulation.n n n Suitable water-soluble organic macromolecular substances are e.g. Cellulose ethers, starch and their derivatives and degradation products, polyvinyl alcohols and polyacrylates, which are preferably used in concentrations of about 0.02-0.5%, based on lead carriers.n n n Suitable stabilizers are, for example, mono- and oligosaccharides, polyalcohols, as well as acids, alkalis and water glass, which are preferably used in concentrations of at most 3%, based on lead carriers.
