titleOfInvention Cell for the continuous monitoring of tritium in water utilizing doped quartz scintillation beads
abstract The invention relates to a measuring cell for continuous monitoring of the concentration of tritium in water.n n n The detection assembly of this device comprises: a basket (42) delimiting a cylindrical chamber (44), closed by two portholes (54) made of quartz, and comprising an inlet (46) and an outlet (48) for water to be controlled, grids (50, 52) with fine mesh being arranged on the inlet and on the outlet of the fluid (46, 48); scintillator balls of doped quartz (56) of small diameter in the chamber (44); two photomultipliers (64) located opposite the quartz windows (54); lead protection (65) of the scintillator (56 and 54) and of the photomultipliers (64) against ambient external radiation and against light.n n n Application to monitoring the concentration of tritium in water.
