titleOfInvention | Water-soluble azo compounds and their copper complexes, process for their preparation and their use as dyestuffs |
abstract | New water-soluble azo compounds which have the general formula (1) have in which K the rest of a single or double-attachable water-soluble coupling component from the series of the aminobenzenes, the phenols, the naphthols, the aminonaphthols, the acylamino-naphthols with the acyl radical of an alkane or alkenecarboxylic acid each having 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the Alkyl or alkenyl radical or an aromatic carboxylic acid or an aromatic sulfonic acid or the N-substituted carbamic acid or from the series of the dihydroxynaphthalenesulfonic acids, the phenylazo and naphthylazo-aminonaphtholsulfonic acids, the 5-pyrazolones and 5-aminopyrazoles, the acetoacetylarylides, the 2-hydroxy- 6-pyridone and the hydroxyquinolines, R represents an alkoxy radical of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, X represents a radical of the formula _S0 2 -CH = CH 2 or the general formula -SO 2 -CH 2 -CH 2 -Z with Z an alkali-eliminable group also means the copper complex compounds which are derived from the above-mentioned metal-free compounds of the general formula (1).n n n The new metal-free azo compounds can be prepared by diazotizing the amine of the formula with R and X of the abovementioned meaning and subsequent coupling with a single or double-couplable coupling component of the general formula HK or HKH with K of the abovementioned meaning.n n n The copper complex compounds of these azo compounds corresponding to the general formula (1) can be obtained from them by a dealkylating copper (continued on next page) usually produce a reaction with the help of a copper-donating agent in and of itself.n n n The metal-free as well as the copper complex compounds of the invention have valuable dye properties and are particularly suitable as fiber-reactive dyes for dyeing and printing materials containing hydroxyl or carbonamide groups, preferably fiber materials, on which they provide strong dyeings with good fastness properties. |
