abstract |
In a process for the recovery of heavy metal compounds in the form of, in particular, solutions containing cobalt and manganese acetate from acetic acid, aqueous extracts of high-boiling distillation residues or mineral acid extracts of the combustion products of these residues from the Witten-DMT process, these extracts with strongly acidic ion exchangers in the Na + form treated and the heavy metal-containing solutions obtained by eluting with Na acetate solutions.n n n The regenerate solutions obtained are free from trimellitic acid and methyl trimellitic acid or from mineral acids. They are fed back directly into the oxidation of mixtures of p-xylene and p-toluic acid methyl ester with ludic oxygen in the liquid phase as catalyst solutions. |
