Single powder hydrated surfactant or emulsifier compositions comprise, by weight, 2-15% water of hydration, the emulsifier, at least about 0.1% of an oil and/or about 0.1-30% of a fragrance. Virtually any ordinary hydrogen-binding emulsifier is suitable for the preparation of these improved compositions. The fat or oil used may be selected from a wide variety of vegetable and animal oils, including marine oils, and is at least partially hydrogenated. The perfumes suitable for these compositions are all the natural or synthetic perfume additives usually used in the food industry and suitable for human consumption. The invention further includes improved methods of preparing hydrated emulsifier compositions. |
