abstract |
A relatively non-volatile, high molecular weight sulfur solvent is produced by adding at least 40 parts by weight of elemental sulfur per 100 parts by weight of dialkyl disulfide to an amine activated dialkyl disulfide oil. Such a sulfur solvent is particularly useful for maintaining a liquid phase at the bottom of a hole such as at the bottom of a well where there are conditions of high temperature and high pressure. |
