Insecticidal pyrethroids, carbamates, phosphoric acid derivatives or their mixtures are known. To reduce the ecological burden, one is looking for agents that increase the effectiveness of these insecticides so that they can be used in lower amounts. Heterocyclic amines which are not substituted on the nitrogen atom of the heterocyclic ring have proven to be ineffective with the insecticides mentioned. Tertiary heterocyclic amines of the general formula I, surprisingly some of which themselves have an insecticidal action, show a strong increase in action in combination with insecticidal phosphoric acid esters, carbamates or pyrethroids. The heterocyclic amines have little toxicity to warm-blooded animals. They are therefore safer to use and less dangerous to humans and farm animals than most of the insecticides used to date. |
