Modified cellulose acetate membranes suitable for ultrafiltration, the pore diameter of which is about 10 to 1000 A, are reacted by modifying a cellulose acetate-containing membrane with an at least difunctional compound, a polyfunctional oligomer or polymer and then with a compound which has at least one ionic and one with the oligomer or Has polymer reactive group. The last reaction component is only necessary if the polyfunctional polymer does not already contain enough ionogenic groups.n n n The new membranes are e.g. for the separation of monovalent ions of low ion weight from polyvalent ions with low or higher ion weight or monovalent ions with higher ion weight, for the separation of ionogenic from non-ionic compounds or from ionogenic compounds with different molecular weight or opposite charge. You will e.g. used to separate salts from organic compounds (dyes) or in wastewater treatment. |
