Chlorine dioxide is prepared from at least two reactants that react together to form chlorine dioxide by bringing the reactants rapidly into intimate contact in a reaction zone and immediately educting the chlorine dioxide formed from the reaction zone into a diluting fluid by suction generated by flow of the diluting fluid through a venturi. …<??>Rapid removal of the chlorine dioxide from the reaction zone and its simultaneous dilution prevent the build-up of potentially explosive amounts thereof and permit the use of aqueous solutions of reactants of more than 10% by weight strength. |
