titleOfInvention Water-soluble phthalocyamine compounds, process for preparing them and their use as dyestuffs
abstract Water soluble phthalocyanine compounds of the formula and their salts, wherein Pc is the rest of the metal-free or a metal-containing phthalocyanine, X represents a hydrogen atom, R 1 and R 2 each represent a hydrogen atom or a lower, optionally substituted alkyl group, where R 'and R 2 may be identical or different from one another , or R 'and R 2 together with the nitrogen atom and an alkylene radical or a further hetero atom and 2 lower alkylene radicals form a heterocyclic ring, a for an integer or fractional number from 1 to 4, b for an integer or fractional number from 0 to 3 and c represents an integer or fractional number from 0 to 3, where a, b and c can be the same or different from one another, but their sum is 1 to 4. They can be obtained by reacting phthalocyanine sulfochlorides which may contain sulfo groups with cyanamide or salts thereof, optionally with a further amine of the formula HNR 1 R 2 with R 'and R 2 as mentioned above, in an aqueous medium or in an organic solvent or in a mixture thereof and in Produce the presence of an acid-binding agent, optionally with simultaneous or subsequent partial hydrolysis of sulfochloride groups to sulfo groups. The new phthalocyanine compounds are suitable as water-soluble dyes for dyeing and printing fiber materials made of wool, silk, linear polyamides, leather and materials containing hydroxyl groups; they are generally applied to these materials in a neutral or acidic, aqueous medium and fixed thereon, optionally after intermediate drying, by means of heat or heat.
