abstract | a) das C 4 -Kohlenwasserstoffgemisch in Gegenwart eines sauren Kondensationsmittels in einer oder mehreren Verätherungsstufen mit Methanol und einem primären C 3 - oder C 4 -Alkohol umsetzt, b) das erhaltene Reaktionsgemisch bzw. die erhaltenen Reaktionsgemische anschliessend inn - eine die nicht umgesetzten Kohlenwasserstoffe enthaltende Fraktion, - den Methyl-tert.-butyläther und - eine den C 3 - oder C4-Alkyl-tert.-butyläther enthaltende Fraktion auftrennt und c) dann den C 3 - oder C 4 -Alkyl-tert.-butyläther in Gegenwart eines sauren Katalysators bei erhöhten Temperaturen in Isobuten und primären C 3 - oder C 4 -Alkohol zerlegt. A process for the joint production of methyl tert-butyl ether and the production of isobutene from isobutene-containing C 4 -hydrocarbon mixtures, in which a) reacting the C 4 -hydrocarbon mixture in the presence of an acidic condensing agent in one or more etherification stages with methanol and a primary C 3 or C 4 alcohol, b) the reaction mixture or reaction mixtures obtained subsequently in a fraction containing the unreacted hydrocarbons, - The methyl tert-butyl ether and - a fraction containing the C 3 - or C4-alkyl tert-butyl ether is separated and c) then the C 3 or C 4 alkyl tert-butyl ether is broken down into isobutene and primary C 3 or C 4 alcohol at elevated temperatures in the presence of an acid catalyst. n n n According to the flow diagram shown, C 4 -hydrocarbon mixtures or methanol and the primary C 3 or C 4 alcohol are fed through lines (1) and (2) to the etherification reactors (4) or (9). The reaction mixtures obtained are through lines (5) and (10), the unreacted hydrocarbons via line (12), the methyl tert-butyl ether via line (16), isobutene via line (21) and primary C 3 or C 4 alcohol withdrawn via line (22). |
