abstract | The invention relates to an insecticidally-active polysaccharide which is the product formed by reaction of tetrahydro-2-nitromethylene-2H-1,3-thiazine with an oxidized polysaccharide which is substantially free from or contains only a minor quantity of carboxyl moieties. The polysaccharide product increases the photochemical stability of the thiazine compound and thus increases its pesticidal usefulness. |
