Die erhaltenen Kondensationsprodukte sind wertvolle Zwischenprodukte für die Herstellung von Flammhemmitteln. Ausserdem können sie als Thermosolierhilfsmittel für die Applikation optischer Aufheller dienen. Condensates from adducts of phosphites and propen-2-ols, these condensates being obtained by reacting phosphites of the general formula I in which n numbers from 1 to 6, r numbers from 1 to n, R 1 is an alkyl radical and Z n is an n-valent radical, at from 80 to 180 ° C., in the presence of peroxides 0.7 to 2.2 moles of propen-2-ols of the general formula II per hydrogen phosphide compound, where R 2 , R 3 , R 4 and R 5 are hydrogen or methyl. The condensation products obtained are valuable intermediates for the manufacture of flame retardants. They can also serve as thermal insulation aids for the application of optical brighteners.
