titleOfInvention | Cyclobutanedicarboximides, process for their preparation and their use as fungicides; intermediate products |
abstract | Cyclobutanedicarboximides of the formula wherein one of R₁ and R₆ is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl and the other is methyl or ethyl, R₂ and R₃ independently represent hydrogen, fluorine or methyl or R₂ is acetoxy or chlorine and at the same time R₃ is hydrogen; R₄ is hydrogen, methyl or chlorine and R₅ is hydrogen or methyl, where R₃ and R₄ together can form an additional bond in the four-ring, are suitable for combating various types of fungi and in particular have an excellent botrytis effect. They can be produced in a particularly advantageous manner by photochemical [2+ 2] cycloaddition of alkenes or alkynes onto, for example, appropriately substituted maleic acid (3,5-dichlorophenyl) imides. |
