titleOfInvention Agglutination tests for the detection of influenza viruses, reagents for carrying out these tests, process for the preparation of these reagents, application of these reagents and diagnostic kit containing these reagents
abstract The present invention relates to new tests for the detection of influenza viruses. This test includes: - bringing influenza viruses or allantoic fluid containing said virus into contact with a neuraminidase substrate comprising at least one sialic acid group, which substrate is fixed by covalent coupling on an appropriate insoluble solid support , it being understood that said substrate may consist of all types of mucoproteins, mucopolysaccharides, oligosaccharides or mucolipids comprising at least one sialic acid group capable of playing the role of substrate for neuraminidase; incubating the influenza virus with its substrate for an appropriate time; - then reading the reaction.n n n Application to the detection of influenza viruses.
