titleOfInvention | A process for the preparation of 3-azabicyclo(3.1.0)hexane derivatives and modifications thereof |
abstract | 2-cyano-3-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane, useful as an intermediate in the preparation of the corresponding acid, and certain derivatives thereof, may be prepared by reacting a compound of the general formula (II) and/or the trimer thereof: <CHEM> in which R<1> represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group which may be substituted by 1 or more alkoxy groups, and each of R<2> to R<7> represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or alkaryl group which may be substituted by one or more alkoxy groups, with a cyanide of the formula XCN in which X represents a hydrogen atom, an organic acyl group or a trialkylsilyl group. Certain of the derivatives prepared are novel. Besides that there is described the preparation of the compound of the general formula (II) and/or the trimer thereof from a compound of the general formula <CHEM> and the preparation of acids of the general formula (VII) or a salt and/or an ester thereof <CHEM> characterised in hydrolysing and/or alkoholysing a compound of the general formula <CHEM> in the formulas (III), (VII) and (I) the substituents R<1>-R<7> have the same meaning as given for the formula (II); in the formula (I) X represents a hydrogen atom, an organic acyl group or a trialkylsilyl group. As already mentioned certain compounds of the formula (I) are novel. |
