titleOfInvention | Transparent copolyamides, process for their production and their use in the manufacture of moulded articles |
abstract | Transparent copolyamides are described which are composed of recurring structural elements of the formula I. and II exist in which R 1 to R 4 independently of one another are hydrogen or alkyl C 1-4, R 5 and R 6 independently of one another ethyl, n-propyl, isobutyl, -CH (R 7 ) (R 8 ) or -CH 2 CH (R 9 ) (R 10 ), R 7 are C 1-8 alkyl, R 8 C 1-4 alkyl, R 9 is hydrogen or C 1-4 alkyl and R 10 is C 2-8 alkyl and the proportion of structural elements (I) for R 5 R 6 = -CH 2 CH (R 9 ) (R 10 ) 10-40 wt.% And for R 5 / R 6 = -CH 2 CH (R 9 ) (Rio) 35-55 wt .%, Based on the total weight of the polymer. The new copolyamides are characterized by good thermoplastic processability, low water absorption, good hydrolysis resistance and little dependence of the mechanical and electrical properties on the ambient humidity and are suitable for the production of transparent moldings, |
