abstract R' einen unsubstituierten oder einen in 4'-Stellung durch F, Cl, Br oder J substituierten 4-Biphenylyloder 4-Phenoxyphenyl-rest, R 2 H, Alkyl oder Hydroxyalkyl mit jeweils 1-4 C-Atomen oder Pyridyl, R 3 und R 6 jeweils H, Alkyl mit 1-4 C-Atomen oder zusammen - (CH 2 ).- und R' und R 3 jeweils H oder zusammen eine C-C-Bindung bedeuten, worin jedoch mindestens einer der Reste R 2 , R' und R 5 von Wasserstoff verschieden ist, z.B. 4 Methyl-6-(4'-fluor-4-biphenylyl)-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-pyridazin-3-on, können hergestellt werden durch Umsetzung einer Carbonsäure der allgemeinen Formel IIn worin R' und R' bis R 6 die bei Formel I angegebene Bedeutung haben, oder eines ihrer reaktionsfähigen Derivate, mit einem Hydrazin der allaemeinen Formel 111n worin R 7 die bei Formel t angegebene Bedeutung hat, und zeigen insbesondere antianenostcterotische und lipidspiegelsenkende Wirkungen. New 6-arylpyridazin-3-ones of the general formula I wherein R 'is an unsubstituted or a 4-biphenylyl or 4-phenoxyphenyl radical which is substituted in the 4' position by F, Cl, Br or J, R 2 is H, alkyl or hydroxyalkyl, each having 1-4 C atoms or pyridyl, R 3 and R 6 are each H, alkyl with 1-4 C atoms or together - (CH 2 ) .- and R 'and R 3 each represent H or together a CC bond, where, however, at least one of the radicals R 2 , R 'and R 5 is different from hydrogen, for example 4 methyl-6- (4'-fluoro-4-biphenylyl) -2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-pyridazin-3- on, can be prepared by reacting a carboxylic acid of the general formula II wherein R 'and R' to R 6 have the meaning given for formula I, or one of its reactive derivatives, with a hydrazine of the general formula III wherein R 7 has the meaning given for formula t, and in particular show antianenostcterotic and lipid-lowering effects.
