titleOfInvention | Method and apparatus for moisture measuring of flat samples by absorption of microwaves |
abstract | When measuring the moisture of sheet-like samples (9) by absorbing frequency-modulated microwaves, the microwaves are passed through the sample several times, for example three to five times. This is done in such a way that the microwaves collected by the first microwave receiver (8) are sent back to the sample by a microwave radiator (7a) connected in series with this receiver. This process can continue. The microwave energy not absorbed by the sample is collected with a terminal microwave receiver (8c) with a measuring detector (11) and rectified. The difference is formed from the rectified signal and a reference voltage (13) and the moisture of the sample is determined from this difference voltage (12). |
