Stabilized poly-(alkylene terephthalate) moulding compositions and their use in making shaped articles, films, monofils and fibres |
abstract |
Polyalkylene terephthalate molding compositions which contain a diepoxide with a molecular weight of 200 to 2000 and a catalyst as a stabilizer. The catalyst is an alkali metal salt of a chelating agent which carries at least one -N (CH 2 -COd) 2 group in the molecule. Preferred catalysts are the trisodium salt of nitrilotriacetic acid and the tetrasodium salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid.n n n The molding compositions can be used to produce moldings, films, monofilaments and fibers. |
