Stable water-containing liquid formulation containing an active ingredient combination of 2,6-diamino-5- (3 ', 4', 5'-trimethoxybenzyl pyrimidine (trimethoprim) and a sulfonamide of the formula in which R is 6-chloro-2-pyrazinyl or 6-chloro-3-pyridazinyl, or a salt thereof for controlling bacterial and protozoan diseases in animals by means of drinking water application. In addition to the agents mentioned, the formulation also contains N-methylpyrrolidone as a solvent, a solubilizer, a surfactant and water. |
