abstract In a method for the quantitative determination of an oxidized pyridine coenzyme under oxidation with oxygen in the presence of the luciferase system and measurement of the emitted light, the oxidized pyriine coenzyme is reacted with an aliphatic alcohol having 8 to 16 carbon atoms in the presence of its specific alcohol dehydrogenase and oxidized aldehyde formed with reduced flavin mononucleotide (FMNH 2 ) and O 2 in the presence of luciferase and the FMN reductase which is independent of the coenzyme to be determined and the reduced substrate coenzyme of the latter with light emission.n n n A suitable reagent contains luciferase, FMN reductase, an aliphatic alcohol with 8 to 16 carbon atoms, a reduced coenzyme, one for which to be determined. co-enzyme specific alcohol dehydrogenase, flavin mononucleotide (FMN). Buffer and optionally an organic sulfhydryl compound and / or a surfactant.
