abstract | A process for the preparation of iodophores from copolymers of maleic acid and alkyl vinyl ethers or lower olefins, iodine and iodide ions.n n n The iodophores are obtained by combining the copolymers with iodine and iodide ions in the ratio (0.2 to 1.1): 1 in an amount of water sufficient for complete dissolution at 0 to 30 ° C.n n n The iodophores obtained in this way are characterized by extreme storage stability even at high degrees of dilution.n n n They are suitable for the assembly of surfactant-free, foam-free disinfectants, which e.g. used in breweries, dairies, agriculture and hospitals.n n n In addition to water, preparations of these iodophores contain above all phosphoric acid and / or lower alcohols, generally 25 to 150 ppm of active substance being present. |
