titleOfInvention Process for the preparation of a catalyst and its application to the polymerisation of 1-olefins
abstract By successively applying a chromate ester and a titanium ester on a silica-containing carrier in the absence of an unsaturated polymerizable hydrocarbon and activating with an organoaluminum compound, a catalyst for the polymerization of 1-oiefins is obtained. In the manufacturing process for the catalyst, no washing liquids are obtained, from which metal compounds must first be separated before the treatment. In the presence of hydrogen, the catalyst gives a polymer with a broad molecular weight distribution in high yield, which is low in high molecular weight components and provides practically speck-free films.
