titleOfInvention | Process for the preparation of 2-amino-arylenothiazole compounds and their ring N-substituted derivatives |
abstract | It will be an improved process for the preparation of 2-amino-arylenothiazoles, which may be substituted in the 2-position amino group by aryl, alkyl and / or cycloalkyl radicals, and of 2-imino-arylenothiazoline compounds which are located in the ring Nitrogen atom are substituted by aryl, alkyl or cycloalkyl radicals. These compounds are prepared analogously to known procedures by cyclization of arylthioureas correspondingly substituted on the respective nitrogen atoms. According to the invention, however, thionyl chloride is used as the cyclizing agent; a process improvement is achieved in such a way that in particular the amount of sulfur formed is very low and the other by-products are easily removable and can be further used. According to the improved process, the thiazoles and thiazolines are obtained in high yield and purity. They serve as starting compounds, especially for the production of dyes. |
