abstract | Plastic film base for photographic films coated with a copolymeric subbing layer comprising a copolymer prepared from a comonomer mixture comprising:n 35-55 mole % acrylic acid or a lower alkyl ester thereof, 35-55 mole % methacrylic acid or a lower alkyl ester thereof, 1-15 mol % itaconic acid, a half ester thereof or itaconic anhydride, and containing at least 1,0% by weight of free itaconic acid, a half ester of itaconic acid or itaconic anhydride. The light-sensitive photographic emulsion layer is bonded directly to the copolymeric subbing layer. Method for the production of coated photographic film bases. |
