abstract | The invention relates to an adhesive with improved water vapor absorption and permeability based on at least one organic, water-insoluble binder and optionally an organic solvent and / or water. These adhesives contain an additive made from at least one small-sized, hydrophilic, swellable, modified polymer. These swellable, modified polymers are at least about 50% by weight water-insoluble; They preferably include swellable, modified carbohydrate derivatives, such as starch or celulose ether crosslinked with the aid of thermal energy, radiation or an additional chemical compound.n n n In a process for the production of such adhesives, the particles of at least one swellable, modified polymer are added to the adhesive matrix before they are processed and distributed evenly therein, and the mixture is then spread or otherwise deformed.n n n The adhesives according to the invention are particularly suitable for bonding flat materials in the production and processing of coated textiles and natural and synthetic leathers. |
