titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR EXTRACTING GOLD FROM THIOCYANATE LEACHING SOLUTIONS OF GOLD-CONTAINING RAW MATERIALS |
abstract | The invention relates to the field of hydrometallurgy of precious metals and can be used to extract gold from sulfate thiocyanate solutions and pulps obtained by thiocyanate leaching of gold from the products of autoclave, bacterial or atmospheric oxidation of sulfide gold ores and concentrates in a sulfuric acid environment, as well as from solutions obtained during thiocyanate leaching of gold from oxidized ores and cinders obtained by oxidative roasting of sulfide concentrates. The method includes sorption of the gold-thiocyanate complex from the leaching solution onto activated carbon, separating the gold-saturated sorbent from the thiocyanate leaching solution, followed by extraction of gold and impurities from the saturated sorbent. According to the invention, activated carbon is fed into a pulp or into a solution of thiocyanate leaching of gold, saturated coal is subjected to a complex of treatments to extract gold and impurities and to restore sorption properties, and is reused for sorption of the gold-thiocyanate complex from solutions and pulps. |
