titleOfInvention Tc-EDDA / HYNIC-iPSMA AS A RADIO-PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCT FOR DETECTION OF SUPEREXPRESSION OF A PROSTATSPECIFIC MEMBRANE ANTIGEN
abstract The present invention relates to a new radiopharmaceutical that inhibits a prostate-specific membrane antigen (iPSMA) containing hydrazinonicotinamide (HYNIC) as a chemical group essential for increasing the lipophilicity of a molecule for binding to hydrophobic PSMA sites, in combination with the usual use of HYNIC as a chelating agent for a radioactive metal Tc when ethylene diamine diacetic acid (EDDA) is used to fill the coordination sphere of this radioactive metal. The new radiopharmaceutical Tc-EDDA / HYNIC-iPSMA detects, with high in vivo affinity, the PSMA protein overexpressed in prostate cancer cells using the SPECT molecular diagnostic method in medical radiology. The purpose of this invention is to provide a new specific radiopharmaceutical drug (radiopharmaceutical drug for molecular targets) for the high sensitivity SPECT method for detecting tumors with overexpression of PSMA.
