A method of increasing the solubility of an insoluble or slightly water-soluble hydrophobic organic compound in an aqueous solvent, comprising adding a saponin component selected from the group consisting of escin, glycyrrhizin and Quillaya saponaria extract to an aqueous solvent in an amount sufficient to initiate the formation of micelles, in the first stage the hydrophobic organic compound is pre-dissolved in an organic solvent, then in the second stage the organic solvent containing the precursor Tel'nykh dissolved compound, is mixed with an aqueous solvent; after which at least a part of the insoluble or slightly soluble hydrophobic organic compound becomes solubilized and dissolved in an aqueous solvent, to obtain an aqueous composition containing an increased concentration of said organic compound dissolved in it. The present invention also relates to pharmaceutical or cosmetic compositions containing an insoluble or slightly soluble in water organic compound dissolved in an aqueous solvent, in significantly increased concentrations. |
