abstract | The present invention relates to methods and compositions for the treatment of lung disease, comprising delivering directly to the patient's lungs a therapeutically effective amount of oxybutynin in combination with one or more pharmaceutically effective agents. Oxybutynin may be selected from the group consisting, but not limited to, of the xinafoate salt, palmitate salt, pamic acid salt, rubber salt, laurate salt, and other salts. Pharmaceutically effective agents include bronchodilators, anti-inflammatory drugs, corticosteroids, a corticosteroid reversing agent, or alveolar growth agents, or other agents selected from protease or protease inhibitors. |
