abstract The invention relates to a system and method for completely dry processing of iron ore waste from previous mining operations, which are suitable for the treatment of waste stored in both settling tanks and dumps. The invention solves the problems of magnetic separation processes, in which the wet method with dehydration is used, the risk of solid waste entering the holding sumps is eliminated, while in this system and in this method, the moisture content in the ore is reduced by means of a natural gas powered mechanical stirrer for pollution prevention, then the waste is sorted into different fractions and, finally, subjected to magnetic separation, while the process is completely dry.
